Dr. Edward W.Y. Lam, M.D.

​Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Edward W.Y. Lam, M.D. is committed to ensuring that his patients receive the most up-to-date, quality health care.  Dr. Lam is the Primary Care Physician, Founder, & Owner of Lam Family Medicine. Passionate about the healthcare field from a young age, Dr. Lam is a Kalani High School Valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude Graduate of the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He is a graduate of the the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa and completed his Family Medicine Internship & Residency programs at Dignity Health Hospital in Sacramento, CA, a University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine affiliate. As a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Lam is committed to ensuring his patients receive evidence-based, quality healthcare.

Erika Lam

​Erika Lam is the Office & Business Development Manager of Lam Family Medicine. Born & raised on Oahu, Hawaii, she is a Punahou School graduate, studied Kinesiology at the University of Southern California (USC), and left her career as a top producing residential and commercial real estate mortgage consultant in pursuit of combining her expertise & passion for both the business and medical fields. Her extensive experience in entrepreneurship and client relations augmented by her persistent work ethic makes her a valuable asset to the Lam Family Medicine Team. Erika is passionate about ensuring consistency & excellence in patient care and experiences.

What is a Family Physician?

A family physician is a personal doctor who provides comprehensive and coordinated care to individuals and families -- pregnant women, children, adults, and the elderly. Family doctors are committed to developing ongoing, meaningful relationships with patients and their families. They listen to patients and help them make the right healthcare decisions through all stages of life. Trained in all areas of medicine, family physicians can diagnose and treat the full range of problems`people usually bring to their doctors. If a person has a problem that requires specialty care, they will send the patient to a qualified specialist.
